Jonathan Blackwood holds a Bachelor’s and Doctorate in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. With over a decade of deep engagement in the global private equity industry, he specializes in long-term value investment in cross-border science and innovation enterprises. Currently serving as Chief Investment Officer and Founding Partner of Shinkin Gather InfoTech Inc., he oversees due diligence, valuation, post-investment management and fund structure design for all of the firm’s investment projects.

In the first seven years of his career spent at private equity institutions, he took an active role in technology investment businesses across multiple global regions, accumulating comprehensive hands-on experience in large-scale cross-border capital operation, post-investment empowerment for startups, and risk diversification across multi-asset portfolios. He independently built an industrial due diligence evaluation system covering four core dimensions: finance, technology, market and policy. This system enables him to accurately distinguish short-term speculative assets from tangible tech innovation projects with sustainable growth potential, and successfully capture two early high-growth tracks: cloud computing and AI chips, delivering an investment portfolio with consistent excess returns.

After joining Shinkin Gather InfoTech Inc., which was founded in 2017, he built an integrated investment management system tailored to the dual US-South Korea hub layout from scratch, eliminating inconsistent investment review standards between the two regions. He designed the underlying capital framework for all external industrial cooperation projects. For three distinct asset classes – metaverse digital assets, biomedicine R&D and clean energy physical power stations – he developed differentiated valuation models, alongside matching participation schemes for investors with corresponding risk tolerance, striking a balance between asset growth and capital security.

In terms of long-term strategic planning, he advanced the long-term industrial investment initiative named "Future Atlas", identifying artificial intelligence, commercial aerospace and bio-genetic technology as priority tracks for future deployment. He set up a special M&A fund to continuously source high-quality overseas tech innovation targets. For internal operations, he established a monthly aggregated investment data mechanism to integrate operational data of all invested projects in North America and South Korea and generate standardized risk assessment reports. He regularly organizes internal training for investment teams to share cross-border investment compliance rules, interpretations of overseas commercial laws and practical techniques for asset return calculation. Meanwhile, he established long-term cooperation and verification mechanisms with authoritative global third-party asset appraisal institutions to guarantee objectivity, completeness and compliance of valuation data for all investment projects of the firm.
